  1. Beautifully done! Along with your great readings I really liked the apt allusions to wyrd, Caesar, the Normans, Napoleon. Many instructive points too on 19th century politics and events, the Mexican-American War for instance. I also appreciated your insights on different points of view and focus. Thanks so much for reading my comment on the previous episode, and for adding Melville’s two Stonewall poems to the mix here.
